A British man has been detained after he allegedly tied up and physically assaulted a female in the well known holiday resort hotel of Majorca.
The 26 years old Dylan Rogers is charged of beating up and physically assaulting a 22-year-old female at an apartment in Playa de Palma on Wednesday.
She was admitted to the hospital with wounds on her arms, legs as well as face.
The suspect, who is supposed to live and work in Magaluf, was detained at a neighbouring apartment house on Thursday.
He was taken to the court with his head down, putting on shorts and a T-shirt. He was questioned by a magistrate yesterday as part of the illegal happenings.
Local reports termed the suspicious person as a 6ft 2in rugby player.
Police officials were called to the scene at 4.30pm on Wednesday and made the arrest in the early hours of Thursday morning.
One insider stated, “She was bound with insulating tape and had bruises on her legs, arms and face.”
“The suspect was located in a neighbouring flat and arrested several hours later after officers obtained a key and a warrant to access the property.”
The doubtful person has not been accused with any wrongdoing up till now, as is normal in Spain where accusations are only laid soon before hearing.
Police sources stated that the female, a foreign non-British expatriate, who was targeted by the supposed attacker warned authorities after freeing herself from binds.
The local stated that the 26-year-old has “model appearance” and is a “bit of a performer and comedian” calling him as a “party animal.”
Speaking about his life in Spain, they added: “He loves the sunshine and the lifestyle out in Majorca and is hardly home at all.
“He has been away for about five years, living out there. He has no plans to come home as far as I know.”
